ENVIRONMENTAL PROJECT MANAGEMENT

ENVIRONMENTAL ASSESSMENT
- conducing EIA, both Basic Assessment and Scoping & EIA
- reviewing EIA as an independent party
- conducting SEA (strategic environmental assessment) and producing an EMF (environmental   management framework)
- environmental risk assessment of an existing facility or proposed development
- NEMA s24G rectification of unlawful commencement of a listed activity, requiring EIA

ENVIRONMENTAL AUDITING
- environmental legal compliance auditing against statutory and common law
- due diligence audits for environmental liabilities
- ISO14001 auditing
- auditing against an organizational EMS
- compilation of legal registers
- where necessary, environmental lawyers are engaged in any of the above

POLICY
- drafting of regulations under legislation
- drafting of guidelines for use by government as legally enforceable documents

EMS/EMP
- idenfication of aspect registers of all environmental impacts at a site
- development of a site or company-wide EMS (environmental management system)
- development of a site or activity specific EMP (environmental management plan)
- creation of tailor-made ISO14001 compliant EMS

- compilation of training materials, including theoretical manual, practical exercises and - --------- - examination materials

POLLUTION AND WASTE MANAGEMENT
- identification of pollution prevention strategies and technologies

- waste classification and hazard rating according to the DWAF Minimum Requirements for the Handling, Classification and Disposal of Hazardous Waste

REMEDIATION, RECTIFICATION AND CLOSURE
- potential soil or groundwater contamination identification based on industrial process analysis
- actual soil or groundwater contamination based on site investigation, including field mapping, - - geophysics, drilling, sampling and laboratory analysis
- analysis of pollution data and development of a remediation programme
